Prior to joining Fetch, Dr. DeClue was a Professor of Veterinary Internal Medicine and Assistant Director of the Comparative Internal Medicine Laboratory at the University of Missouri. Her research focused on investigating the immunologic mechanisms of sepsis and innate immune system disorders. Dr. DeClue’s clinical interests include endocrinology and critical care. She has lectured on sepsis, immunology, and endocrinology nationally and internationally and has published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed manuscripts.

In her free time, Dr. DeClue enjoys spending time with her husband and dog. They love to be active together and are often found training for triathlons, hiking, or enjoying water sports. In the span of just one year, Dr. DeClue has raced 18 half marathons and completed four half-ironman races. Five of those half marathons were all raced within one month! It’s safe to say she really enjoys endurance sports and challenging herself in that area.
