Learn more about Dr. Carrie Kosarek

Dr. Kosarek was born in Illinois but grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and she attended The University of Florida for both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and continued her training at Florida Veterinary Specialists in Tampa, Florida as a rotating small animal medicine and surgery intern. She then completed her residency and Masters of Science degree and she became a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Medicine (DACVIM). Later, Dr. Kosarek moved back to Florida, where she held the position of associate oncologist and intern director at Animal Cancer Care Clinic until 2016.

When not treating her 4-legged patients with cancer, Dr. Kosarek enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. William Ratterree, and their son. She also has 2 cats, Luke and Leia, and their puppy, Finn! She likes to stay healthy with pilates and cycling, but one of her favorite things to do with her son is birdwatching!

Dr. William Ratterree is originally from South Carolina and pursued an Animal and Veterinary Science degree at Clemson University. He received his doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of Georgia. He completed a small animal surgery and medicine internship at Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ratterree also stayed on at the Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine to complete a medical oncology residency.

In his free time, he enjoys cheering on the Clemson Tigers in Memorial Stadium, flying planes, and eating hotdogs. Dr. Ratterree also enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Kosarek, and their son.

LEARN MORE ABOUT DR. KIMBERLY ALEXANDER COLEMAN

Dr. Alexander is originally from Massachusetts but moved to Florida with her family at age 9. It had always been her dream to become a veterinarian and this dream was realized when she graduated from the University of Florida with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. She went on to pursue advanced training to become a specialist. She completed a rotating internship at the University of North Carolina, followed by an internal medicine/critical care specialty internship with an oncology focus at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, in Houston, TX. Lastly, she completed her Medical Oncology Residency at the University of Georgia in 2019. For the past two years, she worked at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists and served as the Medical Oncology Intern Supervisor.

Outside of practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Alexander enjoys spending time with her husband and corgi (Data). Hobbies include two-step and ballroom dancing, scuba diving, and traveling.

LEARN MORE ABOUT DR. Amanda Beck
Dr. Beck is a veterinary medical oncologist primarily treating small animal patients. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine, which allows her to offer her patients complementary approaches to conventional cancer treatment. Dr. Beck is also a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care veterinarian through the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, which allows her to provide a broader range of end-of-life care for her patients.

Dr. Beck enjoys writing veterinary articles and animal-related blogs and has completed several freelance assignments. Since beginning her Herbal Therapy training, she has developed an avid interest in holistic nutrition and lifestyle (both for people and animals) and looks for ways to educate herself further in nutrition and lifestyle management strategies.
