Cancer is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells on our within the body, and cancer can be benign or malignant. It may be localized or it may invade adjacent tissue and spread throughout the body.
Your family veterinarian may have diagnosed cancer in your pet or may have referred you to our practice for a more definitive diagnosis. Either way, all of us at the Fetch Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, and Naples are here for both you and your pet. Our goal is to provide quality, comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for pets that have been diagnosed with cancer. Together we will fight the cancer battle to improve the quality of life and longevity of your pet.
We are Board Certified Oncologists who have undergone advanced training and completed both an oncology internship and oncology residency. As Board Certified Oncologists, we bring greater knowledge and focus to diagnosing and managing whatever kind of cancer your pet may have.
At Fetch, we treat dogs and cats and offer a variety of cancer treatment options, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiation therapy. We also treat horses.
During your first visit and the initial consultation, Dr. Ratterree or Dr. Kosarek will ask questions in regards to your pet’s medical history, perform a thorough physical examination, advise any additional staging diagnostic tests needed to make treatment recommendations, discuss various treatment protocols for your pet (including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy or palliative care), and answer any questions that you may have in regards to your pet’s cancer or prognosis.

- Advanced laboratory testing of various blood or tissue samples
- Biopsies and tissue analysis
- Chemotherapy
- Diagnostic Imaging (Ultrasound, Radiography, CT scans, and MRIs)
- Radiation Therapy
- Surgery
These are statements put forth by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine to further define and explain a board-certified veterinary oncologist. Learn more about Fetch and our veterinary oncology services.
