Annika Smith, DVM Emergency Clinician

Dr. Smith is a Clearwater native. She attended Canisius University in Buffalo, NY, where she received a Bachelor of Science as a double major in biology and animal behavior, ecology and conservation (ABEC). She then pursued her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She subsequently returned to the south to complete a small animal rotating internship at Nashville Veterinary Specialists + Animal Emergency in Nashville, TN before returning home to Clearwater. Her professional interests include anesthesiology, neurology and disorders of hemostasis. 

Outside of work Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Jasper and Stanley. She is also an avid crafter and dabbles in wildlife photography.
