Dr. Byers is a dedicated veterinary professional with a comprehensive academic background and a passion for animal health. Dr. Byers earned a Bachelor’s degree in Organismal Biology from Christopher Newport University before advancing to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine for veterinary school. She then completed the clinical portion of her veterinary education at the Royal Veterinary College in London, UK, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.

Currently, Dr. Byers is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Toxicology from the University of Florida, continuing her commitment to furthering expertise in animal health and safety.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Dr. Byers enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hiking and camping in the mountains, with a special fondness for the natural beauty of Virginia, her home state. She’s also an avid animal lover, sharing her home with two dogs— a German Shepherd and a Mini Poodle— as well as three cats.
