Dr. Merkle is thrilled to be a part of the Fetch team! She completed her radiation oncology residency at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she received extensive training on stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT) and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), in addition to many other approaches to cancer treatment with radiation therapy. Dr. Merkle joined the Fetch team in 2021 and is excited to be able to provide her patients with advanced treatments including SRT and IMRT in Brandon, FL. She is also able to provide treatment for small skin tumors with a Strontium-90 applicator.

Dr. Merkle received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Merkle then completed a small animal rotating internship at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, FL, and a medical oncology internship at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She also completed her radiation oncology residency at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Merkle’s time outside of the hospital is spent with friends and family, playing a good board game, or loving on her Dachshund mix, Pippin.
