Jillian Thatcher, DVM Emergency Clinician

Dr. Thatcher is originally from Ontario, Canada where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. She graduated in 2012 and was awarded the OVC Alumni Proficiency prize which acknowledges the student with the highest class standing for that year. Since graduation Dr. Thatcher has practiced emergency medicine at hospitals in eastern and western Canada before leaving the cold weather behind and moving to Florida. Dr. Thatcher has a particular interest in emergency and critical care medicine because she feels as though she can really make a difference in the pet’s life. Dr. Thatcher shares her home with her partner Jason, their Shar Pei named Lou and a Dutch Warmblood horse named Paul. She is a competitive dressage rider but also enjoys spending time outside paddle boarding and walking the beach.
