Dr. Alexander is originally from Massachusetts, but she moved to Florida with her family at age 9. It had always been her dream to become a veterinarian, and this dream was realized when she graduated from the University of Florida with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She went on to pursue advanced training to become a specialist. She completed a rotating internship at the University of North Carolina, followed by an internal medicine/critical care specialty internship with an oncology focus at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. Lastly, she completed her medical oncology residency at the University of Georgia in 2019. For the past two years, Dr. Alexander worked at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists and served as the Medical Oncology Intern Supervisor.

Outside of practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Alexander enjoys spending time with her husband and their Corgi, Data. Her hobbies include two-step and ballroom dancing, scuba diving, and traveling.
