Dr. Otwell is a native of Charlotte, NC; she received her undergraduate degree at NC State University and her doctorate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She practiced veterinary medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah for 5 years before returning to the Southeast to be closer to family. She enjoys the challenges that emergency cases pose, and loves helping pets and owners through to better days.
Dr. Otwell lives with her husband on a farm in Landrum, SC. They have the pleasure of being pet-parents to two wonderful dogs, one spicy cat, and two exuberant Arabian horses. In her spare time she enjoys endurance horseback riding, snow skiing, hiking, and listening to audiobooks.
