Dr. Bassett grew up in Pine Grove, West Virginia, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Nutritional Sciences from West Virginia University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2018. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Bassett spent four years practicing as an emergency veterinarian at Cheat Lake Animal Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. Her clinical interests include emergency and critical care medicine and surgery, with a passion for helping pets and their families navigate unexpected medical situations with compassionate, thoughtful care.

Dr. Bassett recently traded the mountains of West Virginia for the Florida sunshine, relocating with her husband, son, four dogs, and two cats. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys watching sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
