Education

Dr. Conklin was born and raised outside of Birmingham, AL, where she earned her
undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She later moved to
Sarasota, Florida, where she completed two internships at Mote Marine Laboratory, deepening
her passion for animal science and conservation. Dr. Conklin pursued her Doctorate of
Veterinary Medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada, completing her clinical year of
training at the University of Tennessee.

Following her academic journey, Dr. Conklin completed a year-long rotating internship at Coral
Springs Animal Hospital, where she discovered her love for emergency medicine. She finds
helping pets and their owners to be especially gratifying. Her interests include radiology and
advanced imaging, toxicology, and feline medicine cases.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Conklin enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it’s
relaxing at the beach, gardening, kayaking through Florida’s beautiful natural springs, or
traveling. She’s also a dedicated Tampa Bay Lightning fan and enjoys attending their games. At
home, she loves to unwind with her two cats, Chicky and Chester.
