Dr. Alexander, originally from Massachusetts, relocated to Florida with her family at the age of nine. Her aspiration to become a veterinarian was fulfilled upon graduating from the University of Florida with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Subsequently, she pursued advanced training to specialize in medical oncology.

Her career trajectory includes a rotating internship at the University of North Carolina, followed by an internal medicine/critical care specialty internship with an oncology focus at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. She completed her medical oncology residency at the University of Georgia and successfully passed her specialty boards exam in July 2019.

Upon returning to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Alexander assumed the role of Medical Oncology Intern Supervisor while simultaneously practicing medical oncology. In January 2022, she joined the Southwest Fetch Oncology Team.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Alexander cherishes her time with her family, including her daughter, husband, and their Corgis, Data and Glitch. Her hobbies encompass motherhood, two-step and ballroom dancing, scuba diving, and travel.
