Dr. Whitney Wyatt is originally from West Palm Beach, Florida and is excited to be back in the Sunshine State! She attended veterinary school at St. George’s University and completed her clinical year at University of Georgia. She completed a rotating internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, Florida and stayed an additional year to complete an oncology specialty internship. Next, she went to BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Sandy Springs, Georgia for an oncology specialty internship and then University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine for an oncology clinical trial internship. She completed her radiation oncology residency at University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, where she also completed a master’s degree and focused her research on radiation-induced xerostomia (“dry mouth”) in dogs undergoing radiation therapy. She received extensive training on stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), plesiotherapy with a Strontium-90 applicator, and injectable radioiodine for the treatment of canine thyroid carcinoma, in addition to many other approaches to cancer treatment. Dr. Wyatt will be joining Fetch in October, 2024 and is looking forward to joining the team!
When Dr. Wyatt is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their four animals (2 dogs, Birdie and Lily, and 2 cats, Captain and Rumpel). She enjoys outdoor activities and loves to paddleboard, kayak, swim, hike, or just relax at the pool or beach.
