Dr. Lori Nichols earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University and has been practicing in Florida since 2017. She brings a diverse background in general practice, shelter medicine, and emergency care, allowing her to provide well-rounded, compassionate treatment for her patients. Dr. Nichols has a special passion for feline medicine and has worked closely with several rescue organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area, supporting the health and wellbeing of cats in need.

Before pursuing veterinary medicine, Dr. Nichols worked in construction management and earned her undergraduate degree in Architectural Engineering from The University of Southern Mississippi – an experience that reflects her strong work ethic and attention to detail.

At home, Dr. Nichols shares her life with a rotating group of “non-rent-paying” feline companions. Through her ongoing involvement in fostering, the number of cats in her household often changes with the seasons – especially during kitten season.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, supporting the local Tampa Bay music scene, and relaxing at home with their cats. Since settling in St. Petersburg in 2019, they’ve embraced the coastal lifestyle and enjoy spending as much time at the beach as possible.
