Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida, Dr. Parera completed both his undergraduate and veterinary education at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science followed by his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Parera has a strong interest in small animal emergency medicine and surgery. He is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets during urgent and emergent situations while helping pet owners navigate challenging moments with confidence and support.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Parera enjoys hiking in national parks, cycling, and photography.
