Dr. Mariana Fernandez grew up in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Following veterinary school, she completed a rotating internship at the University of Missouri and a surgery specialty internship at the University of Georgia. Dr. Fernandez then returned to The Ohio State University to complete her surgical residency.
Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, with a particular focus on thoracic and ear procedures, as well as orthopedic surgery designed to help pets live more comfortably.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Fernandez enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, lounging by the pool, and spending time with her three greyhounds and two cats.
